Data You Provide Directly
Search boxes on the site pass the entered name, phone number, or address to the third-party provider that powers sponsored results. We do not keep a separate copy on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to send and use them to respond.
Automatic Site Data
Our hosting systems may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, page requested, referring page, and timestamp. We use that information in aggregate to operate the site, troubleshoot errors, and understand which Galt and Sacramento County record pages are being used.
How We Use Data
We use visitor data to run the site, maintain security, fix broken pages, review traffic patterns, and respond to messages. We do not sell a visitor list, and we do not build individual dossiers from site use.
Outside Websites
Galt People Search links to government portals, courts, county offices, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools. Data submitted to those sites is controlled by their privacy policies, not ours. This includes Sacramento County, City of Galt, California Secretary of State, CDPH, court, library, and third-party search-provider systems.
Service Providers
Hosting, analytics, security, and advertising vendors may process limited technical data for us. We may also disclose information if valid legal process requires it. We otherwise do not share contact messages or visitor data except as needed to operate the site.
Data Protection
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for operations, security, analytics, or legal reasons. Since we do not run user accounts, there is no site password or profile account to protect here.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent personal information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive information uses where the law applies. The California Attorney General notes that the CCPA generally does not apply to government agencies. Public records held by Galt, Sacramento County, California agencies, courts, or records custodians are outside our control and must be addressed with the custodian. For data we hold, use the Contact page and we will review contact messages and logs we can reasonably search.
Policy Updates
When this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here. Continued use of Galt People Search after an update means the new policy applies.
